Accounting Clerk

Location: Fort Myers, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Pay: $20.00–$21.00/hour

Position Summary

A well-established manufacturing company in Fort Myers is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with a strong accounting background to join their team. The primary focus of this role is supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payroll support, and financial recordkeeping.

While this position also includes some Human Resources and general administrative responsibilities, the HR functions can be learned by someone with solid business and accounting experience. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Process invoices and customer payments.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P).
• Support payroll processing.
• Process credit card transactions and reconcile payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• File, scan, and organize both digital and paper records.
• Provide administrative office support, including answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting with scheduling.
• Assist with basic HR and employee administrative tasks as needed.
• Utilize accounting software for daily financial transactions.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting background is required.
• Recent experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Epicor, or similar ERP/accounting systems.
• Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and payroll support.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Comfortable learning HR-related responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
• Experience supporting both accounting and office administration functions.
